PRB is a team of architects, structural designers and engineers based in Vilnius. We design buildings for a range of uses and help clients develop their ideas into coordinated projects. The scope, stages and specialist team are agreed for each assignment.
Our portfolio includes commercial, public, residential, logistics and industrial projects. Meet the PRB team or explore the design services below.
Commercial building design
Retail, office and mixed-use buildings require a clear relationship between their functions. We consider how visitors, employees and tenants use the building, alongside access, deliveries and servicing. Architectural ideas are coordinated with structural and building services solutions.
Examples include Vilnius Urban HUB, the Bukiškis business centre, the business centre in Gariūnai and the LIDL shopping centre.
Public building design
Healthcare, education, administrative and sports buildings serve different users. Understanding the institution’s activities, room relationships, circulation and everyday use is an essential part of developing the brief and coordinating the design team.
Explore the Ukmergė courthouse, Advanced Therapy Centre and Palliative Care Day Centre in Panevėžys. The Pilaitė swimming pool and kindergarten in Vilnius pages also identify the project teams and architectural authors.
Logistics and industrial building design
Warehouses, terminals and production buildings are shaped by their operations. At the outset, we discuss the technical brief, vehicle movements, receiving and dispatch areas, workplaces and the relationship between administrative and operational spaces.
Relevant projects include the DHL express terminal in Vilnius, Girteka logistics centre, Moki-Veži logistics centre and Hegelman warehouse and logistics centre. Our industrial portfolio also features a biomass processing and pelletizing plant project.
Residential building design
Residential architecture is considered together with everyday comfort. The brief addresses private and shared spaces, the relationship with the site, building access and engineering requirements. Architectural proposals are coordinated with the other design disciplines.
See the multi-apartment residential building project in Vilnius for project information and visual material.
Building reconstruction projects
Reconstruction begins with a discussion of the existing building and the intended changes. We establish the future use, the elements to retain and the information already available about the property. The design scope is then defined for the particular assignment.
The commercial building reconstruction project provides an example of this work. Contact us to discuss your building and the next steps.
How we work together
- Needs and initial information. We discuss the site or building, your objectives and available documents, and help develop the design brief.
- Architectural concept. We explore a solution that responds to the building’s function, surroundings and your needs.
- Project development. Within the agreed scope, we prepare design proposals and detailed technical design, coordinating architecture, structures and engineering disciplines.
- Design supervision. During construction, we provide the agreed design supervision services and consultations.
Each project page identifies its team. Where work involves partners or other architectural authors, their roles are stated in the project description.
Before we begin
What information should I provide?
Please describe the location, intended use, principal requirements and preferred start date. If available, include site or building plans, an earlier design and other initial material. This helps us define the scope.
How are fees and timing determined?
They depend on complexity, the required design disciplines, the available information and the agreed scope. A proposal is prepared after reviewing the brief.
Where can I find comparable projects?
The project catalogue groups projects by use. Individual pages provide further information, team credits and images.
